In the biological sense, an adult animal or human is a person who has grown. Adults are a social concept and a legal one in our world. A legal adult is, as opposed to "minors" or "non-adults, is someone who is of the majority age and consequently considered responsible, independent and self-sufficient. Also, they can be described as an "major". Age 18 is as the age of legal maturity, however, this definition may differ according to the nation, lawful rights or psychological development.

Adulthood refers to the time in the lifespan of a human being during which full physical and intellectual maturity has occurred. The age of adulthood typically begins with 21, which is the average age for adults. It is around 60 years later than middle years. Adulthood is divided into three distinct stages that are: early adulthood (18-mid-30s) between mid-30s and the mid-60s and late adulthood mid-60s until death. Physical maturation has been completed when we enter our early adulthood years (20-40s) however, the weight and height may rise a bit. As we grow older, we are at the peak of our physical capabilities.
